A Personal Message From Kim
The book you are considering is a labor of love—the
love of learning, the love of personal transformation, and
the love of womankind. When I began writing, my intention
was to help women bring joy back into their lives. I saw many
of my friends and colleagues living in quiet desperation—focused
on getting through the day, juggling work and family obligations,
and striving to stay on top of things. Surrounded by the social
trappings of personal and professional success, they were
struggling to survive.
I understood that applying fundamental coaching principles
could help these women take control of their lives. I wanted
to give them a chance to stop merely surviving and to start
thriving! As I wrote and tested this program with real women,
I realized that I was in the midst of a much bigger opportunity
than I originally understood. What started as a book to help
you live more effectively has turned into an invitation for
you to live more passionately and authentically. Essentially,
this book has become a call to your spirit.
I have tremendous respect and admiration for you. Though
I’m not sure how this program found its way to you,
I’m certain that there is a reason it found you. Are
you living the life you imagined? Do you like the woman you’ve
become? Will you look back on your life with satisfaction,
gratitude, and joy? What does your authentic self want you
to do, learn, contribute, or express? I want to help you answer
these questions in a way that will cause your heart to overflow.
There is an incredible power within you. In fact, it lives
within every woman. Your power will be expressed in a way
that is unique to you, and once found it will impact your
life and the lives of everyone around you in a profound (and
fabulous) way.
Your power may be hidden beneath layers of fear and shame.
It may be sleeping, worn out from trying to get your attention
as you run through life. It may be sitting on the sidelines
of your heart, uncertain about how the people in your life
will respond when it ventures out. No matter how it waits,
I promise you it is waiting. It wants to be uncovered, awakened,
and unleashed.
I wrote this book to help you recognize and rouse your potential,
and bring it out into the world. I invite you to embark on
this journey with me. It is a process that will call you to
re-evaluate many areas of your life. It is a program that
will re-energize your sense of purpose, re-establish your
natural motivation, and re-ignite your passion. When you finish
you will be a true version of yourself, and you will be comfortable
in your own skin. What’s more, when you look in the
mirror you’re going to marvel at the magnificence of
the woman staring back at you!
